What Anne stands for.
Dr Anne Katharina Schmidt is Head of Quality Control at the Itzehoe site and holds a doctorate in supramolecular chemistry. In this role she is responsible for managing the laboratory, the instrumentation and the laboratory projects of our analytical services. She combines scientific expertise with responsibility for reliable, GMP-compliant analytical processes. Her focus is on steering quality control, validating and transferring analytical methods, and evaluating and releasing analytical results. As the person responsible for narcotics, she also carries particular responsibility for their proper handling.
As Head of Quality Control, Anne decides whether starting materials, packaging materials and intermediate products are approved or rejected, and approves the specifications. The German Ordinance on the Manufacture of Medicinal Products and Active Substances (AMWHV) requires this position to be independent of manufacturing.

Education
